On Sunday, March 31, 2024, at 1:01 a.m., Columbus Police Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 2800 block of Tenth Street in Columbus, Georgia. Upon arrival, they found a male, later identified as Chris Collins, lying deceased in the road. Despite efforts by EMS, he could not be resuscitated, and Deputy Coroner Ben Saxon pronounced him deceased at 1:50 a.m.
