In the spring of 2024, the life of 16-year-old Jaishawn Overstreet, a male from Gwinnett County, was cut short in a fatal shooting in Gainesville, Georgia. On the afternoon of April 27, Overstreet traveled to the Ridgecrest Apartments on Roper Hill Road for what authorities have described as a meeting for 'alleged criminal activity.'
