On the evening of April 22, 2015, 27-year-old African American male Paul Gillins was fatally shot while seated in his vehicle at a McDonald's parking lot on Cassat Avenue in Jacksonville, Florida. Two other African American male passengers, both 23 years old, sustained injuries during the attack.
