Death by Force

On the evening of April 22, 2015, 27-year-old African American male Paul Gillins was fatally shot while seated in his vehicle at a McDonald's parking lot on Cassat Avenue in Jacksonville, Florida. Two other African American male passengers, both 23 years old, sustained injuries during the attack. The assailant fled the scene on foot, leaving behind a community in shock and a crime scene teeming with unanswered questions.
