Death by Force

On October 1, 2007, 15-year-old Maleek Parks was shot and killed in Jacksonville, Florida. The incident occurred during a wave of violence on the west side of Jacksonville, where gunfire erupted at two different locations. Maleek was one of two people who died as a result of these shootings, leaving behind a grieving family and community.
