On September 20, 2024, a tragic incident occurred at OZ Tactical, a gun store located at 1 East Court Square in Downtown Newnan, Georgia. At approximately 9 PM, emergency services received multiple calls reporting an unknown problem and a person down at the location. As units from the Newnan Police Department, Newnan Fire Department, and Coweta County Fire Rescue EMS responded, dispatch informed them that additional calls indicated a weapon had been discharged.
