Jaquon Reeves, age 17, was fatally shot on May 15, 2015, during a vigil held at William Sheffield Park in Jacksonville, Florida. The gathering was meant to honor Johnell Johnson, another First Coast High student who had been killed two weeks prior. The memorial took a tragic turn when one or more individuals arrived and opened fire on the crowd of around 30 people, killing Reeves and injuring another teenager.
