In the early morning hours of October 21, 2024, the life of 24-year-old Marianna Guillen was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting at the Gwinnett Station Apartment Homes in unincorporated Tucker, Georgia. A mother of four, she was found by Gwinnett County police officers around 7:30 a.m. with at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident was quickly determined to be domestic-related.
The preliminary investigation pointed to Aaron Guillen, a 26-year-old from Norcross, as the suspect. He and Marianna were not married but had children together. It was reported that other family members, including children, were present in the home at the time of the shooting. According to Marianna's father, she had been planning to leave her partner due to domestic violence.
Following the shooting, Aaron Guillen fled the scene, prompting a search. He was located and arrested in Newton County the following day, on October 22, 2024. He was taken into custody and is being held in the Newton County jail while awaiting extradition to Gwinnett County. Aaron Guillen faces multiple serious charges, including malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
