On February 4, 2023, 17-year-old Daniel Rodriguez-Lopez was shot and killed at the DeSoto County Fair in Arcadia, Florida. The incident occurred after a fight broke out, which led to the fatal shooting. Daniel was found with a gunshot wound to the chest area and was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injury.
