On the night of March 24, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred in an open lot frequently used for parking semi-trailers, located at 10500 NW 138th St. in Hialeah Gardens, Florida. The victim, 41-year-old Albert Pina, was found dead at the scene by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel after a truck he was driving had crashed. Police officers from the Hialeah Gardens Police Department responded to the call and discovered Pina had been shot.
