Aiden Hutchins, a 10-year-old boy, was supposed to start his fifth grade at Spruce Mountain Elementary School in Jay, Maine, on August 30, 2023. However, he never made it back to Maine from Florida, where he had been living with his mother, Brandy Hutchins, over the summer. A court order had been issued for Brandy to deliver Aiden to his father, Nick Hutchins, in Maine by August 21, as part of a primary residential custody agreement.
