On November 13, 2023, a tragic incident occurred at an apartment complex in North Miami, Florida, resulting in the deaths of Hector Rivera and his two sons, Jeremy and Frank Rivera. The incident began with a physical altercation between Hector Rivera and his neighbor, 33-year-old Pierce Nelson Hoempler. The altercation escalated when the two men ended up on the ground on the front lawn of the apartment complex, with Hoempler on top of Rivera, pinning him down.
