Micah Z. Thomas, a 14-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida, was tragically shot and killed on New Year's Day, January 1, 2024. The incident occurred in the Sherwood Forest neighborhood on the city's Northwest side. Neighbors reported hearing gunfire around 6:10 p.m. and found Micah wounded on the threshold of a home located near Castle Boulevard, close to Soutel Drive and Sibbald Road.
