Michael Wright, aged 62, was killed on March 27, 2016, in Jacksonville, Florida, in what was later revealed to be a premeditated attack orchestrated from jail. Wright, who was working as a security guard at an apartment complex on Kings Street, was shot multiple times on Easter Sunday. He was set to testify against Quintae Hudson, who was accused of throwing a concrete block through a woman's car window in 2014.
Hudson, from inside Duval County Jail, allegedly ordered Wright's murder to prevent him from testifying. Authorities uncovered jailhouse recordings where Hudson discussed plans to have Wright "taken care of," ultimately leading to his death. Hudson, along with five other people, was charged in connection with this crime. If convicted, Hudson could face a life sentence.
