James Baptiste, age 54, was found murdered on April 7, 2016, in Miami, Florida. He was shot in the area of NW 2nd Avenue and NW 11th Street, a neighborhood in the Overtown district. The homicide has remained unsolved, and the Miami Police Department has actively sought the public's help in solving this case. The police have urged anyone with information to contact the Homicide Unit or Crime Stoppers, offering a reward for tips that lead to an arrest.
