On February 12, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred at a Chevron Gas station located at 1000 W. Blue Heron Blvd. in Riviera Beach, Florida. The incident began with a distress call reported as a fight, but it quickly escalated into a deadly confrontation. Calbert Dawson, a 43-year-old man, was shot and killed inside his vehicle.
