On March 14, 2024, a tragic incident occurred at AdventHealth Sebring hospital in Sebring, Florida, resulting in the deaths of Joe E. Landon, 67, and his son, Noah Ryan Presley Landon, 23.

Noah, who was described as having special needs and being non-verbal and autistic, was taken to the hospital by his father due to a confrontation and because he was being combative. The hospital staff placed Noah in a mental health room in the emergency room, where he was restrained to a bed.
