On May 13, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in the 3300 block of Artesian Drive in Palm Beach County, Florida, resulting in the death of Nancie Elan. The incident began around 1:30 a.m. when a domestic dispute was reported, prompting a response from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
Upon arrival, deputies found that Nancie Elan had been shot multiple times. Neighbors reported that the victim had run across the street seeking help after being shot. Two neighbors intervened, wrestling a shotgun away from the suspected gunman, identified as 46-year-old Yves Antoine, until the deputies arrived.
Deputies initiated life-saving measures on Nancie Elan until Palm Beach County Fire Rescue arrived. Despite these efforts, she was taken to Delray Medical Center where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Yves Antoine was arrested and booked at the main Palm Beach County jail on a charge of first-degree murder. He is currently being held without bond.
