On May 18, 2024, a tragic shooting incident occurred in the 3400 block of 17th Street in Sarasota, Florida. The event took place around 3:30 a.m. and involved a large crowd in a parking lot, resulting in multiple shooting victims. Tommie L. Battie IV, aged 24, was found dead at the scene.

In addition to Tommie L. Battie IV's death, four other individuals, including his brother Brian Battie, were injured in the shooting and transported to local hospitals in Manatee and Sarasota Counties. ...Read More
