On June 14, 2024, a drive-by shooting occurred in the Franklin Park community of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, resulting in the death of 33-year-old Michael McKinney and injuring four other men. The incident took place around 7:10 p.m. in the 2300 block of Northwest 8th Street, near 22nd Road. Police responded to the scene and found the five victims suffering from apparent gunshot injuries.
