On October 20, 2024, Juan Miguel Menjivar, a 53-year-old man from Homestead, Florida, was fatally shot along with another victim, Jose Wilian Galdamez Menjivar, 40, at a plant nursery located at 21495 Southwest 240th Street in southern Miami-Dade.
