On October 20, 2024, Jose Wilian Galdamez, a 40-year-old resident of Homestead, Florida, was fatally shot in an altercation that occurred in the Princeton neighborhood of southern Miami-Dade County. The incident took place in an agricultural mixed-use area with greenhouses and nurseries, specifically at the intersection of Southwest 240th Street and Naranja Road.
