In the early hours of New Year's Day 2023, a violent encounter on a Connecticut highway claimed the life of Adrian Lopez, a 23-year-old Black / African American man from Bridgeport. At approximately 2:23 a.m. on January 1st, state troopers were dispatched to Route 15 in Hamden, near exit 60, following reports of multiple gunshot victims in a vehicle.
