On a Friday afternoon in Colorado Springs, Qualin Campbell, a 31-year-old Black man, found himself in a terrifying situation. While on his lunch break on June 2, 2023, a man forced his way into Campbell's work vehicle in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant. In the frightening moments that followed, Campbell covertly texted his wife, Tali’Ja, sending a picture of the man who was now in his car, his location, and a desperate plea: '911. Send Please!'.
