In the predawn hours of a Sunday in Colorado Springs, the quiet of the Cimarron Hills neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. On September 24, 2023, just before 3 a.m., the Colorado Springs Police Department received a call reporting a shooting in the 3200 block of Divine Heights.
