In the early hours of a Saturday morning, the sounds of a party at an industrial office complex in Denver's Montbello neighborhood were tragically silenced by gunfire. On October 14, 2023, 22-year-old Tyreck Cameron, a male from Denver, was fatally shot. The event, held in a leased business space at 12445 E. 39th Avenue, turned into a scene of violence that would claim three lives and injure three others.
Police were called to the location at approximately 1:37 a.m.
following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Tyreck Cameron with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The initial investigation suggested that shots had been fired from at least two different firearms, both inside and outside the unit where the party was taking place. The chaos of the event left a devastating toll.
In addition to the death of Tyreck Cameron, two other young men lost their lives. Tre'Joun Walker, 22, and Eric Miller, 25, were also shot during the incident and later succumbed to their injuries at local hospitals. Three other individuals were wounded in the shooting but were expected to survive. The incident sent shockwaves through the community and raised concerns among neighboring businesses about safety in the industrial area.
In the wake of the deadly shooting, the Denver Police Department launched an investigation into the circumstances that led to the violence.
