In the early evening of May 4, 2024, a shooting in the area of Hale Parkway and Dahlia Street in east Denver led to the death of 34-year-old Baldemar Ortiz De La Fuente. Following the incident, he was transported to a local hospital, though he arrived on his own. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead.
