On September 12, 2024, a deadly standoff occurred at the Arista Flats apartments in Broomfield, Colorado, resulting in the death of Aisha Quest, a 32-year-old woman. The incident began when Gregory Miles, 34, started making threats and opened fire at other units and into the parking lot. During this time, Miles was holding Aisha Quest hostage inside one of the apartment units.
