Marquavious Kentrell Morris, 21, a Black male from West Memphis, was shot to death on the afternoon of August 30, 2023, inside an apartment at The Ridge Apartments on West Jackson Avenue. Officers were dispatched at 3:41 p.m. and found Morris and a woman with multiple gunshot wounds; despite emergency aid, he did not survive, while the woman was rushed to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.
