In the small town of Dermott, Arkansas, a life was tragically cut short on Thursday, November 23, 2023. Michael Lee Carter Jr., a 36-year-old man, was found in the front doorway of a home on South Knox Street. He had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was later transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an official determination of the cause and manner of death.
