In the early morning hours of January 7, 2023, the life of 26-year-old Jerrad Paul Casey, a White/Caucasian male from Ashton, West Virginia, was tragically cut short. Casey, a resident of Apple Grove, was found with a fatal gunshot wound to his chest in the Ashton area. First responders arrived at the scene near Ashton Upland Road and attempted to revive him, but their efforts were unfortunately unsuccessful. His death was officially ruled a homicide by shooting.
