Jerrad Paul Casey, a 26-year-old resident of Apple Grove, West Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on January 7, 2023. He was born on September 24, 1996, to Barbara and was from Ashton, WV.

The cause of his death was a fatal shooting. James Ryan Hatfield, a 29-year-old from Gallipolis Ferry, was arrested and charged in connection with Casey's murder. Hatfield later pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the case.
