In the early morning hours of June 27, 2023, a senseless act of violence cut short the life of Craig A. Kinder, a 35-year-old White male from Mt. Carbon, West Virginia. The incident unfolded in Montgomery, where Kinder and another man, 23-year-old Zion Mitchell of Charleston, were found shot to death on Route 61, near a Family Dollar. Both men were discovered lying in the street just after midnight in what police are investigating as a double homicide.
