Craig Kinder, a 36-year-old resident of Mt. Carbon, West Virginia, was fatally shot in the early morning hours of June 27, 2023, in Montgomery, West Virginia. The incident occurred near the Family Dollar in the 1000 block of Second Avenue, at the Kanawha and Fayette County line. Kinder was not alone in the tragedy; he was killed along with 23-year-old Zion Mitchell of Charleston.
