Zion Mitchell, a 23-year-old from Charleston, West Virginia, was fatally shot in the early morning hours of June 27, 2023, in Montgomery, West Virginia. The incident occurred near the Family Dollar in the 1000 block of Second Avenue, which is on the Kanawha County side of Montgomery.
