In the late summer of 2023, the life of 15-year-old Dontae Michael Carroll of Worthington, West Virginia, was tragically cut short. On Saturday, September 2, 2023, the young male died as a result of gun violence in Fairmont. Dontae, who was born on November 12, 2007, was known for a smile that could illuminate any room and for giving the best hugs. He was someone who didn't know a stranger and had a wide circle of friends, always eager to enjoy life to its fullest.
