In the early morning hours of December 5, 2023, the quiet of Blue Moon Hollow near Dunlow, West Virginia, was shattered by the sound of a gunshot. Jason Perry, a 40-year-old White / Caucasian male, was inside a residence when he heard the shot and went to investigate what had happened to a dog outside. It was a decision that tragically cost him his life. Waiting outside was 64-year-old Chester Mollett, also of Dunlow, who then fatally shot Perry.
