In the winter of 1962, a shadow fell over Fayette County, West Virginia, with the death of 18-year-old Mike Rogers. A resident of the rural Salem Road community outside of Oak Hill, he was last seen on the evening of December 19th. Earlier that day, Mike, a male described as a gentle and agreeable young man who lived with his foster parents, had been doing odd jobs. He returned home for dinner and then left around 5:00 p.m., telling his foster mother he was heading to Oak Hill to buy cigarettes ...
