On November 7, 2016, Jeffrey Allen Morton, a 55-year-old resident of Fayetteville, West Virginia, was found dead following a vehicle fire in Fayette County. The investigation into his death revealed that Morton did not die from the vehicle fire, but rather from a gunshot wound.
