Terry Wayne Holstein, a 32-year-old White / Caucasian male from Alkol, West Virginia, died on December 20, 2023, after a shooting in Lincoln County. What began as a Wednesday morning emergency call in the Sumerco area quickly turned into a fatal investigation, drawing West Virginia State Police to the 1700 block of Midway Road near Route 214. The shooting was reported around 9:00 a.m., and early reports said Holstein had been struck multiple times.
