On Saturday, June 8, 2024, at around 1:00 A.M., Princeton Police Officers responded to a call at 417 Kee Street in Princeton, West Virginia, regarding a possible shooting. Upon arrival, they found a male victim who had been shot.

The victim was identified as 52-year-old Shaileshbhai “Sam” Patel. He had sustained a gunshot wound to the upper chest, which proved fatal.
