On August 25, 2024, 14-year-old John Mula was fatally shot at the Monaco Apartments, located at 4115 S. 430 East in Millcreek, Utah. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. when John was walking through the apartment complex. A brown Chevrolet Impala with multiple people inside was seen in the area; three individuals, all wearing black hoodies and black and white bandanas, exited the vehicle and opened fire on John before fleeing the scene.
