On April 26, 2024, the body of Dennis R. Jones Jr., a 55-year-old White male from Fort Dodge, Iowa, was discovered in a rural ditch in Webster County by a mail carrier. An investigation into his death quickly led to the arrest of his two sons, Alec R. Jones, 26, and Nathan T. Jones, 21.
