In the early hours of October 2, 2016, the life of a 29-year-old White/Caucasian woman, Carissa Marie Rivers, was tragically cut short in Keokuk, Iowa. Shortly after midnight, Keokuk Police responded to a report of shots fired in an alley near a local bar. Upon their arrival, they discovered Carissa unresponsive. She was rushed to Keokuk Area Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Her death was subsequently ruled a homicide.
