On August 25, 2017, Daniel Blyler, 44, was shot and killed by a Jacksonville police officer. The incident occurred outside Vic’s Sandwich Shop in Jacksonville, Florida. According to police reports, officers responded to a call from witnesses concerned about Blyler's behavior; he was allegedly intoxicated and had a gun visibly tucked in his waistband.
