Corey Spann, a 21-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida, was killed in a shooting that occurred on July 2, 2017. The incident took place near the intersection of Philips Highway and University Boulevard in the early hours of the morning. Reports indicate that two vehicles were involved, with shots being fired between them. Corey Spann, along with another victim, suffered gunshot wounds, and both individuals attempted to seek help by driving away from the scene.
Spann ultimately drove to a Walmart parking lot on Philips Highway, where he succumbed to his injuries before any assistance could arrive.
The other individual involved in the shooting managed to reach a nearby Shell gas station, where he was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
