Diana Medina, a 35-year-old woman, was found dead on September 26, 2017, in Tampa, Florida. Her body was discovered in a secluded area, and the case was soon ruled as a homicide. The investigation led to the arrest of James Leon Jackson, a 68-year-old man, who was charged with first-degree murder. Authorities indicated that forensic evidence linked Jackson to the crime, and it was believed that he had a prior association with Medina.
