In the fall of 2014, a life was tragically cut short on the streets of west Phoenix. On the night of October 5th, 17-year-old Christopher Garcia, a Hispanic/Latino male, was with a group of friends near the intersection of 67th Avenue and Van Buren Street. An altercation erupted when a pickup truck carrying another group of individuals pulled up beside them. The verbal dispute quickly escalated to deadly violence.
