An evening in Mohave Valley, Arizona, turned deadly on Thursday, June 2, 2022, when a violent altercation led to the shooting death of Aaron Brenes Flores. The 47-year-old male from Bullhead City was at a residence on East Palo Verde Drive when a dispute escalated into a physical confrontation.
According to the Mohave County Sheriff's Office, the conflict involved Flores, two other adult males, and the homeowner.
At some point during the altercation, the homeowner went inside his residence, and the three other men followed him into the home. It was inside the house that gunfire erupted.
When deputies arrived at the scene around 5:33 p.m., they discovered two men had been shot. Aaron Brenes Flores succumbed to his injuries at the location. The second victim was transported to Valley View Medical Center and later airlifted to a hospital in Las Vegas in critical condition.
The homeowner was detained at the scene and was interviewed by detectives. At the time of the initial reports, the investigation was ongoing and was set to be handed over to the Mohave County Attorney's Office for review. There have been no subsequent public announcements regarding any arrests or charges filed in connection with the death of Aaron Flores, and no suspects have been formally named.
