On a Thursday evening in Mohave Valley, Arizona, a violent altercation tragically cut short the life of 47-year-old Aaron B. Flores Sr. The fatal encounter unfolded on June 2, 2022, at a residence on East Palo Verde Drive, forever altering the lives of those involved.
The events leading to the deadly shooting began with a physical confrontation at the home. Flores, along with two other men, were engaged in a dispute with the homeowner.
The disagreement escalated, and at one point, the homeowner retreated into his house. Flores and the two other individuals followed him inside, and it was within the confines of the residence that gunfire erupted.
When Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene, they discovered that two men had been shot. Aaron B. Flores Sr. succumbed to his injuries at the location. The second victim was found with critical injuries and was quickly transported to Valley View Medical Center before being airlifted to a hospital in Las Vegas for further treatment.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, the homeowner was detained by law enforcement and taken in for questioning regarding his involvement in the incident. Authorities also interviewed witnesses who were present at the scene. The Mohave County Sheriff's Office announced that the investigation into the homicide was ongoing and that their findings would be turned over to the Mohave County Attorney's Office for review.
