In the late hours of a Sunday night in Phoenix, Arizona, the life of 27-year-old Leonel Pineda-Valdez was tragically cut short. On October 30, 2022, he was driving near the intersection of 67th Avenue and Thomas Road. He had been on the phone with his fiancée just moments before, telling her he was only ten minutes away from home. That was the last time she would ever hear his voice. The brief call, intended to be a simple 'see you soon,' became a final, heartbreaking farewell.
