On October 30, 2022, 27-year-old Leonel Pineda-Valdez was found shot to death in a vehicle in West Phoenix. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Pineda-Valdez inside a car that had crashed into a fence behind a business near 67th Avenue and Thomas Road.
