On November 1, 2022, 41-year-old Natishia Devin "Nati" Rivera Lazalde and her husband, 48-year-old Ronnie Lazalde, were fatally shot at their apartment complex near Power Road and Main Street in Mesa, Arizona. The incident occurred around 11:15 p.m., when police discovered Ronnie deceased beneath a stairwell and Natishia nearby with critical gunshot wounds; she later succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
