On November 22, 2022, a tragic incident occurred in a parking lot in Mesa, Arizona, resulting in the death of 61-year-old Antoinette Leotta and the injury of her 27-year-old son, Albert Leotta. The shooting took place outside a business on Greenfield Road, just north of Baseline Road. Albert Leotta called 911 around 9:30 a.m. to report the incident, stating that he and his mother had been shot while they were parked in separate vehicles next to each other.
